CanaTrust Construction Ltd. ("CanaTrust", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, through:

• Our project form: your name, phone number, email address, project address (optional), the kind of project, and details about the work.
• CanaTrust Assistant, our website chat: the messages you send to the chat and, if you use its contact form, your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of request, and a description of what you need.

Our website and hosting providers may also log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and performance. We do not use this to identify you personally.

How we use your information

• To respond to your question and quote on your project.
• To review and improve the accuracy of CanaTrust Assistant's answers.
• To keep our website secure and working properly.

We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Service providers we use

These services help run our website and chat. Each handles data on our behalf under its own privacy and security practices:

• Cloudflare: hosts this website, processes chat messages (through Cloudflare Workers AI) to generate replies, and stores a copy of each chat conversation (through Cloudflare KV) so we can review and improve CanaTrust Assistant.
• Web3Forms: delivers project form and chat contact form submissions to our email inbox.
• Google Fonts: serves the typeface used for headings on this site. Your browser requests it from Google's servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies or tracking for advertising or analytics. A random, non-identifying session code is kept in your browser while you visit so your chat conversation can be matched to its stored copy. It is not a cookie, and it is cleared when you close the tab.

How long we keep it

Chat conversations are stored for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. Project requests and chat contact submissions are kept as long as we need them to respond to you and do the work, or as required by law.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it, subject to our legal and business requirements. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

This website is meant for homeowners and businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
